Jr. Jack Attack – Bringing Bowls To Kids!

Lawn Bowls

Fab day today introducing Grade 3 students at Werribee Primary School to the sport of lawn bowls utilising our Junior Jack Attack Kit.  Thanks Paul Holtschke, our Regional Bowls Manager from Bowls Australia for such a fun day.  We all had a ball – the kids, teachers, Trish and myself.  Looking forward to meeting the Grade 4 students Wednesday.  Young children are the key to the future of bowls!  Well done kids.  Hopefully we will see some of the kids @ The Hive in 2018 for the Sporting Schools Metro West competition in March.

As the year draws to a close, we all start thinking about celebrations with family, friends and colleagues.  Have you thought about celebrating with a social game of barefoot bowls? Great fun for families and persons of all ages, abilities and cultures.  We even have bowls for primary school age children.  Catering options available.

Make sure that you get in early so that you don’t miss out.

Seniors Event – Try Bowls/Concert – What a fab day!

The coming together of cultures.  We welcomed Wyndham Councillors Heather Marcus and Peter Maynard who spoke of the opportunities available to seniors within the Wyndham Community.  Our friends from the Wyndham Happy Life joined us to celebrate our lives and how fortunate we are.  After a cuppa and chat, visitors adjourned to the green where they were introduced to the game of lawn bowls in a fun social environment.  Whilst there was lots of fun and laughter the competitive edge of several visitors shone through!  Potential bowlers of the future.

After a light lunch we enjoyed the wonderful entertainment provided by the Wyndham Happy Life group in the form of song, dance and Tai Chi.  A fab day was had by all and the group  is returning next month which we hope will the start of a long and mutually beneficial friendship between our groups.
