Werribee Bowls Club Inc. was established in 1922. Located in the picturesque Chirnside Park, our Club is a “pokie-free” venue, with a large function area available for hire.
The Werribee Bowls Club has two grass greens and one synthetic green providing opportunities for serious bowlers who want to play Competitive Bowls and those who prefer Social, Barefoot or Corporate Bowls. The greens are open 7 days a week providing plenty of time to fit a rollup into your daily schedule. Excellent lighting makes bowling an attractive option for those balmy Summer nights or night games.
Members of the public wishing to try their hand at bowls can hire a rink for an hour or two and of course, a Club member will be there to show you the basics of the game to get you started! Individual or small group lessons with accredited coaching staff can be arranged for those wishing to proceed further with the sport. New bowlers are provided with free coaching and use of Club bowls whilst learning!
For bowlers looking to join the Club, we have four Midweek Pennant teams and six Saturday Pennant teams. Members from other Bowling Clubs are welcome to play social bowls or enjoy a rollup.
But the Hive is not just a Bowling Club – it’s a place to make new friends! With full bar facilities with drinks at low prices and BBQ hire, the Werribee Bowls Club is perfect for Barefoot Bowls, Corporate events, your next function or family celebration.
We love Barefoot Bowls – Everyone is welcome from kids to grandparents. We are a family oriented, accredited Good Sports Club and can cater for all. We run Social non-bowling activities including Friday Night @ The Hive, with Members Draw and raffles. Werribee Jazz Club brings Jazz every month!
Werribee Bowls Club Inc graciously acknowledges with heartfelt thanks the many dedicated volunteers who regularly donate their time and efforts to maintain and endorse our Clubhouse and grounds.
